EXPO centre Eko Hotel, Lagos, recently hosted bank executives, captains of industry, family members and friends of Dr. Alex Otti, former board member of Airtel Nigeria and now Group Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Bank Plc, in a send-forth dinner.
  The event, which attracted personalities such as Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe (rtd.), Prof. George Obiozor, Dr. Ifeoma Utomi of Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Albert Okumagba, Enase Okonedo, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, Dr. Tunji Adegbesan, Chido Nwakanma of Blueflower, the publisher of Thisday Newspapers, Nduka Obaigbena and others, was organised by Airtel Nigeria, as a platform for corporate Nigeria to mingle and network.

 While commending Otti for his industrious nature, the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido, said he is full of ideas.
  He also said the CBN would not go back on its planned cashless society, which takes off next year starting with Lagos State. 
   According to the CBN boss, the apex bank has gone far with plans to ensure successful take off of the operation. 
  Oba Otudeko, Chairman, Airtel Nigeria, disclosed that the telecom’s firm would at the end of March 2012 invest $1 billion in the economy to enhance coverage, capacity and service quality.
